DCC Conversion Price List
There is nothing to pay up front on our DCC conversion services! Simply send us your loco, ideally in its original packaging or otherwise well protected, and we do the rest. Once the conversion is complete, we'll e-mail you a link to a video of it running up and down our test track. When happy with the conversion, simply make payment and you will receive your loco back usually within 48 hours.
Quoted prices include:
- Pre-conversion readiness test & report
- DCC conversion
- 1 or 2 digihats (as required)
- Final post conversion running video (link via e-mail)
These prices do not include the cost of the decoder - we usually have a range of decoders in stock to suit all budgets and expertise levels, and you are also welcome to supply you own if you prefer.
Note we charge a flat return fee of £20.00 for locos that arrive in an unsuitable condition for DCC conversion, this covers our labour for disassembling the loco, bench testing it, reassembling it and then shipping it back to you. We can resolve most running issues by performing a light service or replacing worn out parts, but will contact you to discuss if this is the case.
Return shipping is £6.50 which includes compensation cover up to £150. This should be adequate for most models, and is a 48 hour Royal Mail tracked service. Note that your loco will be returned in the same packaging you sent it in so please make sure it provides adequate protection.
